Hometown Hero, Brittnee Anthony

Brittnee Anthony

In honor of National Purple Heart Day, The Brenner Family of Dealerships would like to recognize two local veteran and Purple Heart recipient, Ms. Brittnee Anthony.

Brittnee (Supko) Anthony was born and raised in Marysville Pennsylvania.

In June of 2007 Brittnee enlisted for the United States Army and was stationed in Fort Drum, New York. From there she would be deployed to Afghanistan – specifically in the Kunar Province.

During her time in the Kunar Province, Brittnee was injured when a RPG detonated in close proximity sending shrapnel into her foot. Brittnee’s doctors suggested waiting at least two months before returning to missions; however, Brittnee’s fighting spirit sent her back into the field after just two weeks of recovery.

After returning home to the States, Brittnee received her Purple Heart Medal. Brittnee would continue serving in the United States Army until November of 2012 when she was honorably discharged from the Army as an E5 Sergeant.

Along with her Purple Heart, Brittnee has also been awarded two Army Accommodation Medals one with Valor,  two Army Achievement Medals, one Good Conduct Medal, and the Afghanistan Campaign Medal.

Currently, Brittnee is busy raising a family right here in Central PA and attending Penn State Harrisburg where she will earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology.

Brittnee, from all of us here at Brenner, we thank you for your service and sacrifice for our country. Today, we honor your bravery and commitment!
